Early dental caries. Developing conditions and methods for stopping its evolution

Dental caries are a very common condition in the current population. Its complications have a major impact on the individual's life, so prevention and treatment of caries in early stages is a priority in contemporary dental medicine.

The first dental layer affected by caries is dental enamel. It demineralizes (revealed by creamy stains) due to the acid attack of the triad: favorable soil, microbial flora and food, and then the carious cavities appear.

The diagnosis by various methods of incipient caries creates the premise of its early treatment. That is why regular consultation and collaboration between the patient and the dentist is very important.

In conclusion, early tooth enamel cavities can be naturally remineralized by careful patient guidance by the doctor, or can be treated non-invasively or minimally invasively in the dental office, showing the friendly face of new dental trends.
